Lincotec Technology Malaysia breaks ground for facility at Senai Airport City Free Zone

SENAI, JOHOR (Feb 5): Lincotec Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd yesterday marked the ground breaking of its new advanced semiconductor technology manufacturing facility at Senai Airport City Free Zone.

The facility represents Linco Technology Co, Ltd’s first manufacturing investment in Asean.

It will be built on approximately 10 acres of industrial land and represents a significant long-term capital investment by the Linco Technology Group to establish a strategic manufacturing base in Southeast Asia, supporting supply-chain resilience and regional capacity building, stated Senai Airport City Free Zone in a media release.

Upon completion, the plant will focus on thin-film sputtering and dry plasma etching process tools and manufacturing system, supporting advanced semiconductor processes.

It aims to strengthen manufacturing capacity, process integration, and operational scalability for customers across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific market.

Lincotec Technology (Malaysia) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Linco Technology headquartered in Taiwan.

Senai Airport City Free Zone

Established in 1999, Linco Technology specialises in sputtering and plasma applications and is globally recognised as the world’s No 1 supplier of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding sputtering equipment for semiconductor System-in-Package (SiP) applications.

"Linco Technology’s investment strengthens Johor’s position as a high-tech industrial hub and reinforces our focus on green, knowledge intensive industries. Collaborations like this will create high skilled jobs, advance the semiconductor supply chain, and drive sustainable growth for the state," said Senai Airport City CEO Gan Seng Keong.

Senai Airport City offers well-established industrial infrastructure and seamless connectivity to key highways and ports, providing a strategic platform for export-oriented, advanced manufacturing.

Senai Airport City supports anchor industries in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Electrical & Electronics (AE&E), EV automotive, and medical devices industries.
