PETALING JAYA: (Feb 20): Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) will host its first Chinese New Year celebration at its gallery in City of Elmina from Feb 28 to March 1, 2026, marking both a festive milestone and a public preview of its newly launched Seri Embun residential township.
Branded ‘Huat Come Home’, the two-day event will be held at the E&O Gallery, City of Elmina, from 10am to 6pm.
The celebration coincides with the recent launch of Seri Embun and follows the sold-out response to Laman Embun, the group’s first commercial plot in the township.
Visitors can expect a family‑oriented programme featuring an acrobatic lion dance performance with firecrackers on March 1 at 10am.
There will also be Chinese New Year game booths with prize redemptions and children’s craft workshops such as lacquer fan painting and lion dance head making.
Festive treats like dragon beard candy and tanghulu (a traditional Chinese street snack made by skewering fruits and dipping them in hot sugar syrup) will round out the celebrations.
Guests will also be able to view the township scale model and tour the show units.

Seri Embun is positioned as an elevated residential enclave adjacent to a 2,700-acre permanent forest reserve.
According to E&O, the development incorporates planning measures to preserve forest views, maintain green buffers and retain natural airflow, with an emphasis on long-term liveability.
The township will feature a purpose‑designed clubhouse and wellness facilities such as a gymnasium, swimming pool, multipurpose hall, children’s playground, yoga lawn, surau, and jacuzzi.
These amenities will be complemented by landscaped elements including herb gardens, reflexology paths, linear parks, and running tracks.
“Seri Embun reflects a deliberate focus on long-term liveability,” said E&O managing director Kok Tuck Cheong.
“True scarcity in residential development today comes from elements that cannot be recreated—elevation, permanent green adjacency and scale that allows for genuine community planning.”
E&O’s entry into the City of Elmina follows the launch of Laman Embun and the establishment of its first clubhouse in the township. Seri Embun represents the group’s latest residential offering in the area.
Beyond City of Elmina, the group’s Malaysian portfolio spans Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor, alongside selected projects in central London, UK.
The ‘Huat Come Home’ event is open to the public.
