Glomac COO Zulkifly Garib retires

KUALA LUMPUR (March 2): Glomac Bhd (KL:GLOMAC) has announced the retirement of Zulkifly Garib (pictured) as chief operating officer—operations, effective last Friday (Feb 27).

In a statement, the company shared that Zulkifly joined Glomac on Oct 15, 2019, and served for over six years. During his tenure, he oversaw the operational and technical aspects of the group’s development activities, focusing on project execution and overall performance.

According to the company’s FY2025 annual report, Zulkifly holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation, UK. He is also a registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia.

He began his career with a consultancy firm before holding positions at PLUS Bhd and UMW Corp Bhd. He later held senior managerial roles at Land & General Bhd (KL:L&G) and Tropicana Corp Bhd (KL:TROP), and served as senior general manager and head of the township division at UDA Holdings Bhd.

In 2006, he was appointed director of operations at United Malayan Land Bhd. Prior to joining Glomac, he was project director at UEM Sunrise Bhd (KL:UEMS).

Zulkifly also served as vice-president of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) Malaysia from 2018 to 2022, and was chairman of Rehda Selangor from 2016 to 2020. He was a board member of the Selangor Housing & Property Board (LPHS) from 2016 to 2022.

Glomac’s board and management expressed their appreciation for his dedication, leadership and service to the group, and wished him well in his retirement.
