PETALING JAYA (April 27): Samaiden Group Bhd has completed the acquisition of two parcels of 99-year leasehold agricultural land in Teluk Intan, Perak, measuring approximately 185.57 hectares in aggregate title land area, for a total cash consideration of RM45.5 million.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today (April 27), the renewable energy solutions provider said its wholly-owned subsidiary Samaiden Capital Management Sdn Bhd completed the purchase on April 24, following the payment of the balance purchase price of RM40.95 million to vendor Kelapa Sawit (Teluk Anson) Sdn Bhd. The sale and purchase agreement was first entered into on July 1, 2025.

The land, held under two titles in Mukim Durian Sebatang, District of Hilir Perak, is situated along Jalan Dato Haji Mohamad in Teluk Intan and carries a 99-year leasehold tenure expiring on June 12, 2118.

Samaiden has said the site is strategically located in close proximity to an existing high-voltage substation, which significantly reduces the complexity and cost of grid interconnection and enhances the feasibility of solar projects.

The group intends to develop a utility-scale solar farm on the land, with a dual-track strategy that allows it to either develop the farm for direct ownership or lease the land to other solar developers while providing engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services — creating an additional income stream for the group.

The acquisition was funded via a combination of bank borrowings and internally generated funds.
