Tropicana Metropark marks topping-off milestone for SouthPlace 2 Shoppes & Residences

PETALING JAYA (May 6): Tropicana Corp Bhd has completed the structural framework of SouthPlace 2 Shoppes & Residences at its 88-acre Tropicana Metropark township in Subang Jaya, marking the occasion with a topping-off ceremony yesterday. 

According to its statement yesterday, the development — distinguished by a dedicated link bridge to the Federal Highway — has recorded an 80% take-up rate, and is on track for completion by March 2027. Workmanship quality will be independently assessed under the Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) framework.

Building on SouthPlace 1's success

The milestone builds on the full sell-out of SouthPlace 1, with sustained demand for SouthPlace 2 reflecting continued buyer confidence in the township. 

Beyond the Federal Highway link, the development is well-served by a range of major expressways including the North-South Expressway, LDP, NPE, NKVE, SKVE and KESAS. The project is delivered by main contractor Inta Bina, with HMSK Architecture as project architect.

Unit specifications and lifestyle offering

SouthPlace 2 Residences comprises freehold serviced apartments with built-up areas ranging from 583 sq ft (one-bedroom) to 1,044 sq ft (three-bedroom), with open-plan living-dining-kitchen layouts and split open-plan configurations available for select unit types. 

All units are partially furnished and fitted with green features including water-efficient fittings and inverter air-conditioning.

Residents enjoy direct access to the SouthPlace 2 Shoppes podium below, with tenants including Mercato, Healthlane Family Pharmacy, Anytime Fitness, MyNews and Swimology. The development is further anchored by a 9.2-acre Urban Park, while nearby amenities include Subang Jaya Medical Centre, KPJ Specialist, Empire Shopping Gallery and Sri KDU International School.

Phase 2 registration

Phase 2 of SouthPlace 2 Residences is now open for registration. Tropicana is offering purchasers a choice of three curated designer-furnished themes, with a Designer Furnished Package worth up to RM60,000 applicable to two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 758 sq ft to 1,003 sq ft. Monthly installments start from RM1,467.
