PETALING JAYA (May 19): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has secured a RM174.2 million building contract from RB Land Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of IJM Land Bhd, for a serviced apartment development in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Kerjaya Prospek said its wholly owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, had accepted the letter of award today.

The contract covers the construction and completion of a 44-storey serviced apartment development at Mukim Bandar Seremban Utama, Daerah Seremban, on a fixed lump sum basis.

The project will comprise 778 serviced apartment units, 15 retail lots on the ground floor, two private office units, six parking podium levels and a facilities deck above the podium. Other components include a main switch station, guardhouse, waste storage area and a unipole structure.

Construction is scheduled to commence on June 1, with completion targeted within 35 months, placing the expected handover in April 2029.

Kerjaya Prospek said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings and net assets per share for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2026 to 2029, while strengthening its existing order book.

The group added that none of its directors, major shareholders or persons connected to them have any direct or indirect interest in the contract.
