KUALA LUMPUR (June 5): Rembawang Holdings Sdn Bhd has unveiled 97 SCOTT, a low-density freehold residential development along Jalan Scott in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, with a gross development value of over RM100 million.
According to a press statement on Thursday, the 38-storey tower, which sits on a 0.33-acre site, will comprise 97 duplex units. It marks the property developer's first foray into the high-rise residential segment.
Rembawang Holdings founder and group executive chairperson Datin Seri Kamisah Johan said 97 SCOTT represents the same standard and commitment the company has previously delivered to its landed flagship projects.
"Our flagship Teringin, Sri Ukay attained a QLASSIC (Quality Assessment System in Construction) score of 81%. Meanwhile, our Grade-A corporate tower at Persiaran Lidcol was acquired en bloc before completion," Kamisah said.
Designed by Cipta Teguh Architects Sdn Bhd, the development features a maximum of eight units per floor. Built-up areas for the duplex layouts range from 669 to 1,254 sq ft across more than 10 configurations, with most units facing views of Merdeka 118, Petronas Twin Towers and The Exchange 106.
Cipta Teguh Architects founding partner and executive managing director Lew Chieh Seong said the project was designed with an emphasis on visual harmony and modern urban functionality to complement the cultural character of the surrounding district.
Concurrently, Rembawang Holdings has formalised the engagement of China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd (CSCEM) as the main contractor for the project. CSCEM is a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, which has completed landmark local projects including The Exchange 106 and the Jesselton Twin Towers in Sabah.
CSCEM deputy general manager Xua Xiao Bing said the contractor thrives on technically challenging compact urban sites that demand precision at every stage, and looks forward to further collaboration with Rembawang Holdings. 97 SCOTT is situated 450 metres from the Tun Sambanthan monorail station and 750 metres from the KL Sentral integrated transport hub, providing connectivity to major rail networks and expressways such as the Federal Highway, New Pantai Expressway, and Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 1.
