KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Majestic Gen Sdn Bhd has appointed Wong Yik Fong as its new CEO effective July 1, 2026, as part of a strengthened leadership structure to drive its next phase of expansion and succession.
According to a press statement issued by the Malaysian property developer, the leadership realignment also sees Datuk Hoo Kim See take on the role of chairman and director while Ta Wee Dher will serve as group managing director.
Wong, who brings over two decades of experience across civil engineering, township development and corporate leadership, previously served as chief operating officer at Trinity and held senior leadership roles at Gamuda Land.
In his role as CEO, Wong will oversee daily management and operational execution, including project delivery, stakeholder coordination, sales performance and team development.
“I am honoured to join Majestic Gen at an important point in its growth journey. The company has built a strong foundation, and the opportunity now is to bring strategy, people and execution together in a more focused and disciplined way,” said Wong.
Under the updated framework, Hoo is responsible for providing board-level stewardship, safeguarding the company's vision and maintaining corporate direction, governance and stakeholder confidence.
For Ta, he will lead the strategic business direction, focusing on land bank acquisition, business ventures, development planning and expanding the project pipeline.
Hoo said: "Leadership succession means preparing the organisation for the future. As Majestic Gen continues to grow, we must build a leadership structure that provides continuity while empowering the next generation of leaders to drive the business forward.”
According to Ta: “Majestic Gen is entering a more ambitious phase of growth. My focus will be on driving the group's business direction, particularly in land acquisition, business ventures, strategic partnerships and development planning. These areas are important as we continue to strengthen our landbank, expand our project pipeline and identify opportunities that support the group’s future growth."
Building on its 2024 rebranding milestone, Majestic Gen launched six projects with a total gross development value of RM3.05 billion by end-2025 and is projecting four launches worth RM370.491 million in 2026.
Moving forward, the group intends to focus its growth strategy on expanding its land bank, exploring new business ventures and enhancing project delivery across the residential, commercial, industrial and integrated development segments.
