PETALING JAYA (July 5): OCR Group Bhd has launched D’Templer Hilltop Residences, a landed residential development in Templer, Rawang with a potential gross development value (GDV) of RM344 million, and separately signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to explore smart sustainable living solutions for the project.
The launch event was held on June 27 at the project's show unit and brought together prospective homebuyers, families and members of the surrounding community.
OCR said D’Templer Hilltop Residences is expected to contribute to the group's development pipeline over the coming years.
Located approximately 30km from Kuala Lumpur city centre, the development targets homebuyers seeking landed homes in a more nature-oriented setting while remaining connected to key amenities and growth corridors.
OCR said the project sits within a corridor that could benefit from future infrastructure improvements, including the group's planned dedicated U-turn road and the proposed Kuala Lumpur Northern Dispersal Expressway (KL Node). The proposed expressway, if implemented, could improve connectivity between the northern and eastern Klang Valley corridors.
OCR said the project aligns with its strategy of focusing on market-driven developments aimed at meeting demand for landed homes with practical layouts and lifestyle features.
Under the “OCR D’Templer Huawei Smart Sustainable Living Campaign”, the parties will explore the provision of Huawei Smart PV and integrated digital power solutions for D’Templer homeowners.
OCR Group managing director Billy Ong Kah Hoe said D’Templer represents an important addition to the group's development portfolio.
“With a GDV of RM344 million, this development offers a low-density landed residential environment combining space, greenery and accessibility,” he said.
He added that Selayang North continued to evolve as a residential location supported by improving connectivity and demand for landed homes, while proposed infrastructure enhancements could strengthen longer-term accessibility.
Commenting on the collaboration, Huawei Digital Power executive vice-president Chong Chern Peng said the initiative reflected a shared objective of expanding access to smart energy solutions.
“Today’s homeowners are increasingly seeking greater energy resilience, lower carbon footprints and long-term sustainability,” he said.
OCR said D’Templer complements its broader portfolio, including ongoing developments such as Residensi Akasia in Shah Alam and Stellar Damansara, as well as completed projects including The Mate @ Damansara Jaya and Isola KLCC.
