PETALING JAYA (July 10): KL City Gateway has appointed Maple Hospitality Group as the hospitality and short-term rental management partner for Sutera Suites, the inaugural development within the KL City Gateway masterplan in Kuala Lumpur. The appointment follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which provides for Sutera Suites to be professionally managed under the MapleSuites brand.
Jointly developed by Sunsuria Bhd and Suez Capital Sdn Bhd (Suezcap), KL City Gateway is a seven-acre integrated transit-oriented development comprising serviced suites, residences, office suites, retail and lifestyle offerings in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The project has direct connectivity to the LRT Kampung Baru station, immediate access to the Saloma Link and the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (Akleh), and features a lifestyle retail boulevard overlooking the KLCC skyline, with the Petronas Twin Towers located less than one kilometre away.
The MoU was signed by Suezcap deputy chief operating officer (COO) Ter Chen Hong and Maple Hospitality Group co-founder Danny Hor, and witnessed by Sunsuria deputy COO Ter Chen Loong, Sunsuria group branding director and deputy CEO (education) Ter Shin Ann, and Maple Hospitality Group business development associate manager Loi Kean at the KL City Gateway sales gallery. Ter said the collaboration reflects KL City Gateway’s commitment to continually enhance its overall offering, beginning with Sutera Suites as the first development within the masterplan.
As the inaugural development within the KL City Gateway masterplan, Sutera Suites offers fully furnished serviced suites designed for modern city living and investment. Located in one of Kuala Lumpur’s most connected locations, the development caters to homeowners, investors, business travellers and visitors seeking quality accommodation in the city centre.
Maple Hospitality Group’s hospitality and short-term rental management services will provide purchasers with a professionally managed hospitality option, complementing the overall offering at Sutera Suites. The company currently manages more than 3,000 rooms across Malaysia. Hor said the collaboration provides an opportunity to bring Maple Hospitality Group’s hospitality management expertise to a strategically located integrated development, and to enhance the guest experience, optimise operational performance and contribute to the project's long-term success.
KL City Gateway said the strategic partnership marks another milestone in bringing its integrated masterplan to life, reinforcing its vision of creating a thoughtfully planned urban destination that meets the evolving needs of homeowners, investors, businesses and visitors.
