PETALING JAYA (July 15): SkyWorld Development Bhd has broken ground on SkySOLIS, its first residential development outside Malaysia, marking its entry into the Vietnam property market under its SkyWorld 2040 long-term strategic plan.

The project is located in Lái Thiêu Ward, Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, near Ho Chi Minh City. The groundbreaking ceremony was held in July 2026.

SkyWorld said in a press statement today that SkySOLIS will introduce its “Healthy Home” concept to the Vietnamese market for the first time, alongside the application of its QLASSIC quality assessment system for building construction works and the SkyWorld Connects App digital ecosystem.

The developer did not disclose, in its statement, the project’s gross development value (GDV), number of units, pricing, built-up sizes, completion timeline or details of any local development partners in Vietnam.

The move represents SkyWorld’s first overseas project as the developer executes its SkyWorld 2040 plan, a long-term strategic roadmap that includes regional expansion in Southeast Asia.

Bringing Malaysian development model overseas

SkyWorld said SkySOLIS will incorporate its “Healthy Home” development philosophy, which focuses on wellness-oriented design features, together with QLASSIC, a quality assessment system used to measure workmanship quality in building construction projects in Malaysia.

The QLASSIC system, developed by the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB), provides a standardised approach to assessing construction workmanship quality.

The developer added that the project will also feature the SkyWorld Connects App, which integrates digital services including building management, resident services and community functions.

SkyWorld said the initiative reflects its intention to bring its development approach and digital ecosystem to an international market.
