Widad unit's winding-up petition hearing rescheduled to Sept 28

PETALING JAYA (July 18): Widad Group Bhd said the hearing for a winding-up petition filed by Sany Construction Sdn Bhd against its wholly owned subsidiary, Widad Builders Sdn Bhd (WBSB), has been rescheduled to Sept 28, 2026, after the court vacated the original hearing date of July 21, 2026.

Widad said in a Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday (July 17) that it will make further announcements on any material developments relating to the matter as and when necessary.

The group had previously announced the winding-up petition on March 11, with subsequent updates on March 13 and April 10.
