PETALING JAYA (July 22): Hartanah Kenyalang Bhd said its wholly owned subsidiary, Hartanah Construction Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award for the construction of multi-storey buildings and ancillary buildings in Sarawak worth RM41.38 million.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday (July 21), the company said the contract was awarded by a Malaysian-incorporated company principally involved in the provision of construction services in Sarawak.
The contract period is 36 months, with the project scheduled to commence in July 2026.
The group said the contract is not expected to have any effect on its share capital or shareholding structure.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Oct 31, 2026 and throughout the contract period, Hartanah added.
The company said the risks associated with the contract are mainly normal operational and execution risks, which will be addressed through appropriate measures.
Hartanah added that none of its directors, major shareholders, or persons connected to them have any direct or indirect interest in the contract.
