Sunway Healthcare extends Putrajaya hospital JV heads of agreement to Sept 30

PETALING JAYA (July 23): Sunway Healthcare Holdings Bhd entered into a Supplemental Heads of Agreement 2 with Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PjH) to further extend the term of their heads of agreement (HOA) for the proposed joint venture (JV) to construct and lease Sunway Medical Centre Putrajaya, a multi-specialty tertiary private hospital in Precinct 7, Putrajaya.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday (July 22), the company said the term of the HOA was further extended to Sept 30, 2026 from July 22, 2026. The parties had previously extended the HOA to July 22, 2026 under a supplemental heads of agreement dated March 17, 2026.

The proposed project was identified as one of the group's planned projects in its Feb 27, 2026 prospectus. The HOA was originally dated April 23, 2025.

SHH said all other terms and conditions of the HOA remain unchanged. The company added that it will make the necessary announcement(s) on any material developments relating to the proposed joint venture in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
