Kerjaya Prospek bags RM52.5 mil subcontract for Klang Valley data centre power infrastructure

PETALING JAYA (July 24): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has secured a RM52.5 million subcontract for civil, structural and basic low-voltage mechanical and electrical (M&E) works for the proposed construction of a new 275-kilovolt (kV) consumer landing station serving a data centre in the Klang Valley.

The company said in a Bursa Malaysia filing on Thursday (July 23) that its wholly owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, had received and accepted a letter of award dated the same day (July 23) from a customer.

The fixed lump-sum subcontract covers the execution, completion, testing where applicable, rectification of defects and all related obligations for the proposed project.

The contract commenced on July 23, 2026 and is scheduled for completion on Jan 9, 2027.

Kerjaya Prospek said the award is expected to provide an additional revenue stream for the group over the next one year and further strengthen its existing order book.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings and net assets per share for the financial years ending 2026 and 2027, but will not have any effect on the company's issued share capital.

The company did not disclose the identity of the customer or the owner of the proposed data centre project.

Kerjaya Prospek also said none of its directors, major shareholders or persons connected to them has any direct or indirect interest in the contract.
