KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 10): AME Elite Consortium Bhd (KL:AME) will construct a 220,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, for HYA Industry (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, according to a press statement issued on Monday.
The facility, situated on a 6.8-acre site within the group's i-TechValley industrial park, will be built via its subsidiary Pentagon Land Sdn Bhd for the Malaysian unit of Shanghai-listed Wuxi Hyatech Co, Ltd.
The plant will focus on the research, development, and production of aerospace components and medical orthopaedic implant forgings.
The project forms part of Hyatech’s US$70 million (RM312.2 million) overseas expansion across Malaysia and Singapore to strengthen its precision manufacturing footprint within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
AME Elite executive director and group chief executive officer Dylan Tan said: "We are expanding our industrial space solutions to support integrated ecosystems for advanced technology industries. Hyatech’s selection of i-TechValley validates our capabilities to deliver mission-critical assets for high-precision operations."
Tan added: "Multinational corporations establishing a footprint in Southeast Asia require customised facilities that meet global standards. As we deepen our expertise to fulfil the stringent specifications of the aerospace and healthcare sectors, AME Elite is capturing high-value cross-border capital flowing into the JS-SEZ and facilitating greater supply chain resilience".
The new contract adds to AME Elite’s existing portfolio in the aviation sector, which includes a RM214.1 million contract to build an aeronautical test cell facility for KLIA Aeropolis Sdn Bhd and an industrial complex development in Subang.
