PETALING JAYA (Aug 12): OSK Property has brought forward the launch of Phase 2 of its OSK Ombak beachfront development in Kuantan, Pahang, by 18 months after Phase 1 was fully taken up within three months of its unveiling, according to the developer.
OSK Ombak has a gross development value (GDV) of RM690 million and occupies a 5.99-acre freehold site along Balok Beach. The development will comprise three serviced apartment towers, retail units and 1,274 fully furnished residences upon completion.
OSK Property chief executive officer Chu Wai Lune said the response to Phase 1 gave the developer confidence to accelerate the next phase.
“The full take-up of Phase 1 within three months is a strong endorsement of OSK Ombak and a clear reflection of buyers’ confidence in the development,” he said.
“This has given us the confidence to bring forward Phase 2.”
OSK Ombak is OSK Property’s third project along Balok Beach, following Swiss Garden Resort Residences and TimurBay Seafront Residences. It will offer studio to three-bedroom serviced apartment layouts, including dual-key units, together with more than three acres of recreational facilities.
According to OSK Property, the project is positioned to benefit from activity surrounding the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park, the Gebeng industrial corridor, the expansion of Kuantan Port and the East Coast Rail Link.
The developer said these developments could support demand for short- and mid-term accommodation in the area.
OSK Property said OSK Ombak has received provisional GreenRE Silver certification. The development is targeted for completion in 2030.
