PETALING JAYA (Aug 13): GuocoLand (Malaysia) Bhd (GLM) will be removed from the Official List of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd at 9am on Tuesday, Aug 18, following the completion of its privatisation exercise.
Bursa Malaysia said in a listing circular on Thursday (Aug 13) that the removal of GLM’s entire issued share capital from the Official List will take effect pursuant to Paragraph 16.07(b) of the Main Market Listing Requirements.
The delisting follows GLM’s privatisation through a selective capital reduction and repayment exercise under Section 116 of the Companies Act 2016.
GLM said in an earlier Bursa Malaysia filing that the privatisation was completed on Aug 7, after settlement of the offer price to entitled shareholders.
Maybank Investment Bank Bhd acted on behalf of GLM’s board in relation to the privatisation.
