NCT, RHB and SJPP hold SME financing seminar series

PETALING JAYA (Aug 20): NCT Group of Companies, RHB Bank Bhd and Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Bhd (SJPP) have concluded a two-part seminar series on financing facilities and government guarantee schemes available to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

In a press release on Thursday (Aug 20), NCT said the seminar series, themed “Driving SME Growth with Tailored Financial Solutions & Government Guarantee Schemes”, was held at Wisma FMM in Bandar Sri Damansara on July 21 and at Wisma FMM Penang on Aug 19.

The sessions covered financing options, government guarantee schemes, business expansion strategies, sustainability adoption and productivity enhancement.

Presenters included SJPP head of strategy and stakeholder management Fairuz Salleh, RHB Bank head of SME business development Kelvin Chin and NCT Group general manager of sales and marketing Simon Chan.

The seminars also featured NCT’s industrial developments in the respective regions.

The Bandar Sri Damansara session highlighted NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP), located within the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS). NCT described NSIP as Malaysia’s first Managed Industrial Park.

The Penang session featured NCT InnoSphere in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, which the group said is positioned to support cross-border trade, logistics and advanced manufacturing within the Northern Corridor Economic Region.

Chan said the collaboration was intended to address challenges faced by SMEs as they expand.

“As a developer that works closely with many SMEs, we understand the challenges businesses face as they grow. Working with established partners allows us to respond more effectively to these needs and contribute to the continued development of Malaysia’s industrial sector and economy,” he said.

NCT said participants were also able to engage representatives from the three organisations to discuss their business needs and available support options.
