KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 21): Exsim Hospitality Bhd (KL:EXSIMHB), formerly known as Pan Malaysia Holdings Bhd, more than doubled its net profit for the financial year ended June 30, 2026 (FY2026), as its fit-out business expanded and its hospitality-management operations gained scale.

Net profit surged 126% to RM40.75 million from RM18.04 million in FY2025, while revenue jumped 91.9% to RM281.23 million from RM146.53 million, according to the group's Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday.

The fit-out business was the largest earnings contributor during the year, generating RM213.02 million in external revenue, up 53.8% from RM138.46 million in the previous year. The segment recorded RM43.76 million in pre-tax profit.

Hospitality operator revenue, meanwhile, surged to RM68.21 million from just RM3.93 million in FY2025 as more properties under management became operational. The segment recorded RM18.95 million in pre-tax profit.

Exsim Hospitality said nine new contracts were awarded to its EXSIM Concepto business during the fourth quarter, lifting its order book to RM495.09 million as at June 30, which will be progressively recognised.

Following shareholders' approval on April 13 for the group's diversification into general contracting and centralised procurement, it can now undertake a broader scope of work beyond hospitality fit-outs.

The group expects general contracting to account for a growing proportion of the segment's revenue, while another three contracts were secured after the financial year-end.

For the fourth quarter, Exsim Hospitality's net profit rose 13.5% year-on-year to RM12.56 million, while revenue increased 46.3% to RM101.06 million. No dividend was paid during the quarter.

As at June 30, the group's managed portfolio under its Mana Mana Hospitality brand comprised 3,838 signed units, of which 2,006 were operational and another 1,832 remained under construction or renovation.

The group has also expanded its operating footprint beyond the Klang Valley into Penang and, after year-end, began operating units at The Stallionz @ Ipoh White Times Square.

Its own-and-operate hospitality business has yet to contribute revenue. Exsim Hospitality expects Portrait Resort in Port Dickson and Portrait Hotel at Empire City, Petaling Jaya to commence operations within the next six months, bringing its directly operated portfolio to 531 rooms.

Shares of Exsim Hospitality closed two sen or 4.6% higher at 46 sen on Friday, valuing the group at RM1.07 billion. The stock has more than doubled year to date.
