PETALING JAYA (Sept 4): Amari Kuala Lumpur has been inducted into the Luxury Lifestyle Awards Hall of Fame, adding to a series of international recognitions received by the hotel between 2023 and 2026.

The latest distinction acknowledges the hotel’s achievements in luxury hospitality, leadership and sustainability, and follows several awards presented by Luxury Lifestyle Awards over the past four years.

Among the hotel’s recognitions since 2023 are Best Luxury City Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2023; TOP 100 Hotels and Resorts of the World 2023; TOP 100 General Managers of the World 2023; and the International Sustainability Awards 2024. It also received the International Sustainability Awards 2026.

Amari Kuala Lumpur and Amari SPICE Penang are part of S P Setia's hospitality portfolio. The latter is the property owner/developer, while ONYX Hospitality Group manages and operates the hotels under the Amari brand.

The hotel stated in a recent media release that the Hall of Fame recognition reflects continued efforts to combine guest-focused hospitality with responsible practices across its operations.

The sustainability initiatives include circular solutions for food waste, responsible operational measures, as well as partnerships supporting local communities and environmental conservation.

“This Hall of Fame recognition is a proud achievement for everyone at Amari Kuala Lumpur. Each accolade represents the dedication and passion of our team, as well as the continued support of our guests, partners and community,” said Amari Kuala Lumpur general manager Susan Anthony.

“As we grow, we remain committed to creating meaningful guest experiences while continuously strengthening our approach towards responsible and sustainable hospitality,” she added.

Located in KL Eco City, Amari Kuala Lumpur is positioned within an integrated business and lifestyle district, with direct connections to Abdullah Hukum LRT and KTM stations. The hotel is also within reach of KL Sentral, The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley Megamall and other key business and lifestyle destinations in Kuala Lumpur.

The hotel has 252 guest rooms and suites featuring contemporary amenities, workspaces and floor-to-ceiling windows. Its Club Deluxe and Club One Bedroom Suites come with additional benefits, including complimentary evening cocktails and meeting room use.

Its dining and lifestyle offerings include Amaya Food Gallery, which serves Asian flavours alongside international selections, and Club TGA, a social space for guests to dine, meet and unwind.

Amari is a Thailand-based hotel and resort chain that operates properties across Malaysia, Laos, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, spanning urban and seaside destinations.

The brand describes its hospitality approach as drawing on Thailand’s culture and creativity while incorporating local influences through architecture, design, cuisine and service.

ONYX Hospitality Group operates the Amari, Shama and OZO brands, catering to business and leisure travellers across the Asia-Pacific region.
