Village Grocer to open at Mah Sing’s M Legasi by end-2029

PETALING JAYA (Sept 10): Village Grocer is set to open a standalone outlet at Mah Sing Group Bhd’s M Legasi township in Semenyih by the end of 2029, when more than 3,200 residents are expected to be living there.

Mah Sing said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 10) that the approximately 19,000 sq ft outlet, which will have 80 dedicated parking bays, will serve as an anchor tenant at the 500-acre township.

The developer expects about 817 homes across M Legasi’s early phases to have been completed and handed over by the time the Village Grocer outlet opens, bringing an initial population of more than 3,200 residents.

Mah Sing said the outlet is planned to open in tandem with M Legasi’s growing residential population as it builds up the township’s retail and daily-living amenities.

The commercial terms of the Village Grocer arrangement were not disclosed.

M Legasi is a 500-acre freehold integrated township with an estimated gross development value of RM3.3 billion. Launched in the second quarter of 2025, the development is planned over eight to 10 years.

The township comprises three residential precincts — Impira, Adiya and Embun — as well as the 19-acre Legasi Walk commercial component and 50 acres of green space.

Mah Sing had previously said its leasing team was seeking grocers, food and beverage operators, service providers and convenience stores for the township.
