Citaglobal unit wins RM82.1m subcontract for IPG residential college

PETALING JAYA (Sept 11): Citaglobal Bhd’s wholly owned unit Citaglobal Land Sdn Bhd has accepted an RM82.12 million design-and-build subcontract for a new residential college at Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Bahasa Melayu in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday (Sept 11), Citaglobal said Citaglobal Land accepted a letter of award dated Aug 20 from Purnama Base Sdn Bhd for the design, construction and completion of the residential college and related works.

The fixed lump-sum subcontract will run for 22 months and is scheduled for completion on June 30, 2028, subject to any revised completion date determined under its terms.

The project is a Malaysian government education-sector development implemented through Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (JKR), Citaglobal said.

JKR is the employer under the main contract, while Purnama Base is the main contractor under a contract with JKR dated Dec 30, 2025. Purnama Base appointed Citaglobal Land as subcontractor for the project.

Following the acceptance, Citaglobal said its outstanding pro forma order book as at June 30, 2026 stands at approximately RM1.5 billion.

The group said the subcontract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings, earnings per share and net assets over the contract period, barring unforeseen circumstances. It is not expected to have any material effect on gearing.

Citaglobal said the subcontract is in the ordinary course of Citaglobal Land’s business. None of the group’s directors, major shareholders or persons connected with them has any direct or indirect interest in the subcontract.
