
PETALING JAYA (Sept 15): The Labs at Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), Kuala Lumpur has launched an artist series featuring six Malaysian creative talents in conjunction with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day season,
Running from Sept 12, 2026 to January 2027, The Labs: Artist Series brings together intellectual property (IP) artists Pasaroly, Guji Guji, Oh! Doodlez and The Good Boisss, alongside mural artists Jefr Studio and Novak Batik, BBCC said in a statement on Tuesday.
Their works are being presented through physical installations, immersive digital experiences, murals and merchandise.
Each IP artist will anchor a different festive segment: Pasaroly for Merdeka, Guji Guji for Mid-Autumn, The Good Boisss for Halloween and Oh! Doodlez for Christmas.
The programme opened with an exhibition of Pasaroly’s work at the ground-floor foyer in front of immersify KL. It has also been adapted into an immersive visual experience at Zone 6, while a merchandise collection is available at MM Cafe.
Jefr Studio and Novak Batik have contributed murals displayed on the walls of the entertainment hub.
The Labs occupies 250,000 sq ft of net lettable area within BBCC. Its venues and attractions include a retro-themed Golden Screen Cinemas, the 2,500-capacity Zepp KL, the 1,300-capacity Andaman Grand Ballroom, GAMEON Ninja Park and immersify KL.
The purpose-built media-art gallery opened in February 2025 through a joint venture with South Korea’s Bitgrim Immersify Group.
BBCC is a RM8.6 billion mixed-use development spanning 19.4 acres on the former Pudu Prison site in KL. Jointly developed by UDA Holdings Bhd, Eco World Development Group Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund, it comprises residential, office, retail and entertainment components served by the LRT, MRT and monorail networks.
