PETALING JAYA (Aug 1): Ho Hon Sang has been appointed as CEO cum executive director of Mah Sing Group Bhd effective today, taking over Ng Chai Yong who has resigned to pursue other interests, the group said in a statement today.
In his new role at Mah Sing, Ho will provide strategic advice to the board of directors, share insights for employees’ performance improvement and preside over the organisation's day-to-day operations, it said.
“Chai Yong (Ng) has contributed to the strong performance of Mah Sing Group and we appreciate his commitment in leading the team over the past few years.
“We are pleased to welcome Hon Sang (Ho) into the Mah Sing family and we believe his in-depth property industry experience and strong network will help drive Mah Sing to the next level of growth,” said Mah Sing’s founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum.
According to Mah Sing, Ho has more than 30 years of experience in property development, engineering, consultancy, road privatisation and general management.
Previously, Ho had served as the CEO of Sunsuria Bhd and was also the managing director of the property development division of Sunway Bhd.
Throughout his career, Ho was involved in property development and property investment projects ranging from master-planned townships to integrated developments with retail, commercial, educational, medical, hospitality and leisure components.
Meanwhile, Mah Sing Group is aggressively rolling out new launches where over the weekend, they launched Cerrado Residential Suites Tower A in Southville City, KL South. All 404 units were taken up.
Mah Sing collaborated with Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) in its Youth Housing Scheme, which offers up to 100% home loan financing for eligible first-time homebuyers of the Cerrado units priced from RM357, 000.
Another project that goes under the scheme is the 1,313-acre Meridin East in Pasir Gudang, Johor, which will be launched on Aug 6 and 7 while on Aug 13 and 14, Mah Sing will launch its Ferringhi 2 project in Penang, the group said.
