KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 5): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhds has won a RM146.7 million contract from Eco Terraces Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Eco World Development Group Bhd.

Kerjaya said the contract, awarded to wholly-owned unit Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, entails the main building works for the Eco Terraces project, a 34-storey building comprising 333 condominium units on Penang island’s North East District.

“This project award from EcoWorld brings our year-to-date contract wins to RM1.58 billion, which has way surpassed our internal order book replenishment target,” it said in a statement.

“This is a fantastic achievement and I would like to thank the team for working tirelessly and Eco World for their confidence in our abilities as a specialist in premium high rise projects,” said Kerjaya executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho.

The work is expected to take 29 months from its commencement this month, with completion by February 2019.

Kerjaya’s share price gained 3 sen or 1.27% to close at RM2.39 today, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM1.21 billion. — theedgemarkets.com
