EcoWorld launches four new projects simultaneously under its Firsts campaign

SETIA ALAM (Sept 25): Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) has launched four of its new property developments in the country at a grand launch event at the developer’s head office today.

The new projects launched have a total gross development value (GDV) of about RM26.86 billion. The projects are Eco Grandeur in Ijok and Eco Ardence in Shah Alam, Eco Bloom @ Eco Meadows in Penang and Eco Business Park II in Iskandar Malaysia. They were launched under EcoWorld's Firsts campaign as each one of these projects boasts several “firsts” or unique concepts. 

"The response and support received for the launches have been tremendously positive despite the current challenging property market," said EcoWorld president and CEO Datuk Chang Khim Wah during the launch. He added that the strong turnout at all its sales galleries, days prior to the launch day was a testament to the strong brand that the property developer has built over the years.

The overwhelming response from the public has given EcoWorld the confidence to push forward with the massive launches, added chairman Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin. "We thank our loyal customers for their continued belief in the team and the EcoWorld brand."

Of the four developments, Eco Grandeur is the largest spanning 1,400 acres of leasehold land. The township development has an estimated GDV of RM15 billion and designed with first-time homebuyers and young families in mind. Its first phase comprises landed strata, gated and guarded precincts Graham Garden and Avenham Garden, offering 2-storey terraced and 2-storey garden homes respectively, with  prices starting from around RM500,000.

The modern integrated township, which is expected to be completed by 2019, aims to achieve a Green Mark Certified Township status, said Chang.

Meanwhile, EcoWorld general manager Liew Tian Xiong said the 533-acre freehold Eco Ardence has a GDV of RM8.58 billion. The township will feature 2,000 units of landed homes, 2,000 units of affordable apartments and commercial properties including offices. Eco Ardence's first launch is Aeres, a landed strata, gated and guarded parcel comprising semi-dee homes priced from RM1.3 million and bungalows priced from RM2.9 million.

"Crafted as an eco-township, Eco Ardence is poised to attract people from Klang Valley central. We aim to complete the project in eight to 10 years," he said.
Besides the two projects in Selangor, also launched was Eco Bloom, which is part of the 59-acre Eco Meadows township in Simpang Ampat, on the Penang mainland.

The project is a 4.86-acre freehold mixed-use development with a GDV of RM283 million, comprising a single residential tower with two storeys of retail lots below the tower. There are three types of units, with prices starting from RM388,000, said Chang, adding that the project will offer unobstructed city views and various facilities such as swimming pool, gym and jogging tracks.

In Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, Eco Business Park II is a 383-acre freehold development. It is the largest freehold industrial hub for small-medium enterprises within the fast-growing Flagship E of the economic zone, said Chang.

With an estimated GDV of RM3 billion, the business park will offer cluster, semi-detached and customised factories with starting prices from RM1.96 million.
