Mah Sing’s Leong Hoy Kum wins Outstanding Entrepreneur Award by MRCA

PETALING JAYA (Oct 13): The group managing director of Mah Sing Group Bhd, Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum has won the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award at the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) 24th annual dinner and Crown Awards event.

The award recognises the achievements of leading companies, innovative entrepreneurs, corporate social responsibilities and leaders of the industry.

“I am very honoured to receive this award. My life motto is about continuous learning and improvement.

“The world is constantly changing and as a market-driven developer, it is our trade to stay ahead of the market,” he said in a statement.

He added: “Mah Sing has come a long way since its transition from the plastic to property industry in 1994.

“These achievements were made possible with the support from our dedicated team who have contributed tirelessly to the success of the group.”

According to Mah Sing, Leong’s leadership has led the group to its success today, with 13 completed and 33 ongoing projects throughout Malaysia.

Leong was also named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Asean Business Awards Malaysia 2016, Asian Corporate Director of the Year 2015 by Corporate Governance Asia, Brandpreneur Life Inspired Achievement Award at the Brandlaureate Special Edition World Award 2015 and the Best CEO (Investor Relations) at the 5th Asian Excellence Award 2015.
