A Galleria serviced apartment unit for Olympic silver medallist Chan Peng Soon

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 10): Global Oriental Bhd (GOB) presented and handed over a unit of its Galleria serviced apartment worth RM474,200 to Olympic silver medallist and mixed doubles badminton player Chan Peng Soon today.

“The reward is made in recognition of the player’s achievement in helping Malaysia in the medal haul during the recently concluded Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro,” said GOB project director CP Tan in a statement.

Tan added that he would like to see more young players achieving top performance and being motivated by what Chan has achieved.

The key handover ceremony was witnessed by Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, deputy president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong and treasurer general Tan Sri Kuan Peng Soon at the MCA headquarters along Jalan Ampang here today.

The apartment unit that was presented to Chan is a 2-bedroom corner unit in Galleria @ Equine Park, Seri Kembangan, Selangor. It has a built-up area of 760 sq ft. The unit is also partially furnished with air-conditioning units in the bedrooms, water heaters, kitchen cabinets, kitchen cooker, hood and hob, wardrobe, lights and fans.
