The sprawling city of Shah Alam is one of the major cities in Klang Valley, and is the capital city of Selangor. Named after Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the then Sultan of Selangor, Shah Alam was the first planned city in Malaysia after our independence in 1957.

Shah Alam can be accessed by major highways including the Federal Highway, Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) and Kemuning – Shah Alam Highway (LKSA). For a cheaper and more convenient alternative, Shah Alam is also connected by the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) that stops in Shah Alam station in Section 19, and Batu Tiga station in Section 13. There is also a bus and taxi stand in Section 17 with car rental services. There are plenty of buses and taxis in Shah Alam’s commercial areas.
