KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 20): Hock Seng Lee Bhd (HSL) has secured a construction contract worth RM104.51 million from the Sarawak state government.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, HSL said it had received a letter of acceptance from the Sarawak Public Works Department for a project in Sibu.

It said the scope of works includes piling works, earth/sand filling, geotechnical work, drainage and road pavement. Traversing low lying terrain, the works will draw on HSL’s expertise in marine engineering, it added.

The contract period is 24 months and physical construction work is expected to commence in September 2019. HSL said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings as the project progresses.
