Kedah Sultan assents to Mukhriz Mahathir remaining as MB

KEDAH (Feb 27): Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir looks set to remain as Menteri Besar of Kedah.

"Everything remains the same except we are now known as a Bersatu-Pakatan Harapan (PH) government in Kedah. It is business as usual for all sectors," Mukhriz told the media after meeting and briefing the Sultan of Kedah.

Mukhriz revealed that he submitted 18 “support letters” to the Kedah sultan and PH, Bersatu reps agree to maintain status quo of the present state government

"The Sultan accepted the support letters. We urge the rakyat to remain calm and rational.

"Kedah is not impacted. We are just doing this to stabilise the state. Our focus is in Kedah, and we hope the crisis will be resolved soon," he added.
