I-Bhd appoints new executive chairman

SHAH ALAM: I-Bhd, the developer of I-City development in Shah Alam, has appointed Datuk Lim Kim Hong as the executive chairman of the board.

According to the press statement released on Friday, July 9, Lim’s appointment is aimed at driving the group to the next level of growth at both the local and regional levels.

This is Lim’s second stint as executive chairman. He held the position when he took over the company 10 years ago to chart a vision for the group. Lim relinquished his executive chairmanship when the i-City development had grown beyond critical mass.

The appointment follows the resignation of non-executive chairmanship of Datuk Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman, who ended his tenure with the company, and under whose leadership has built a strong foundation for the development of i-City.

Hamad’s resignation as the company's chairman and director with effect from the same date will pave the way for Lim to assume a full-time leadership role in the company.
