MARANG (Terengganu): Le Tour de Langkawi (LtdL) 2010 Sprint King Anuar Manan will be rewarded with a piece of land and RM10,000 by the Terengganu government for winning two jerseys in the competition.

Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said said the rewards were approved at the state executive council meeting here on Wednesday March 10.

"Like track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang, Anuar deserves the reward for bringing glory not only to the country but also Terengganu," he told reporters after presenting aid worth RM10,000 to a paralytic at Kampung Gong Nangka.

He said Anuar would get a piece of land in Kuala Terengganu. Born in Kuala Ibai, Anuar was among eight cyclists from Terengganu, who took part in the LtdL 2010.

"I am proud of the achievement of cyclists from Terengganu. As such, Terengganu will be forming a team for the next LtdL," said Ahmad. -- Bernama
