KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Land & Development Bhd's net profit was more than halved to RM3.19 million for its first quarter (1Q) ended Sept 30, 2010 from RM7.43 million a year ago on significantly lower revenue, it announced to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, Nov 23.
Turnover plunged 85.5% to RM14.03 million from RM97.15 million on lower revenue and profit recognition from its property and construction divisions, as well as a shift in the dates of its new launches.
Basic earnings per share stood at 0.39 sen, from 0.88 sen a year while net assets per share were unchanged at 70 sen.
The group expected satisfactory performance for this financial year on the back of its property developments.
