Najib's application to intervene in Azilah's bid to set aside the conviction and death sentence will be heard first, according to Najib's lawyer Sarah Abishegam

In a statement issued today, Thomas wrote that calling an emergency would have grave consequences, especially on the country’s economy. He pointed out that the rating agencies will immediately downgrade the country’s sovereign ratings. Consequently, the country’s borrowing costs will instantly go up, and this perhaps will result in difficulty in borrowing. 

The Act would be enforced for two years.

This is the second postponement after the apex court bench was initially slated to deliver its decision last Sept 28.

Lim was not present today at the Sessions Court here as he needed to attend proceedings at the Penang State Legislative Assembly. 

The IO, Noornabilah Mohd Aziman, told the High Court that she lodged a report against Rosmah on Nov 9, 2018. During cross-examination by Rosmah's counsel, Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, she said the MACC first investigated a complaint against Rizal, before turning to Rosmah.

The application for the adjournment was made separately by the Sabah attorney-general office, and also Musa's rival and Parti Warisan Sabah president, Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal.

An official from the Prime Minister's Department (PMD) and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer (IO) in Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor's solar hybrid graft case are the final two witnesses to be called by the prosecution before it closes its case.
