KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, who is chairman of both Felda Global Venture Holdings Bhd (FGV) and the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), yesterday defended two acquisitions that came under scrutiny for being “pricey”.

KUALA LUMPUR:  Loke Wan Yat Realty Sdn Bhd is believed to have called off the sale of its 1.38ha of land near the Petronas Twin Towers, said sources. It is not known why the deal was aborted, but sources think the trustees of Loke Wan Yat’s estate rejected the RM495 million, or RM3,325 psf, offer due to disagreements over the price.

KUALA LUMPUR: Aeon Co (M) Bhd entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Japan-incorporated Aeon REIT Investment Corp (J-REIT) yesterday to dispose of 18.18% of a piece of land in Mukim Pulai, Johor, in a deal worth RM20 million.

The disposal includes an 18.18% undivided share of the Aeon Taman Universiti shopping centre in Skudai, Johor.

KUALA LUMPUR: A day after terminating a deal to purchase 35.26 acres (14.27ha) of land in Johor, Mah Sing Group Bhd entered into another sale and purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 1,352 acres of agriculture land that it plans to develop into a township over seven years.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd’s unit, Bina Puri Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM96.58 million contract from Likas Bay Precinct Sdn Bhd to build a KoUMS hostel in Kuala Menggatal, Sabah.     

In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, it said the project was expected to be completed within 24 months.

CYBERJAYA: Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd (SHSB) and Shanghai Overseas Affairs Service Center Co Ltd (SOASC) have signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of an integrated entrepreneur park in Cyberjaya.
