新闻:REHDA:房价料随零消费税率而下调

八打灵再也17日讯:大马房地产发展商协会(REHDA)主席拿督斯里FD Iskandar预料,消费税自6月1日开始从6%调低至0%,将促使国内房价随着下调。

他告诉EdgeProp.my:“建材价格和成本应该会因消费税调低而下滑。我们也预料人们对于购买昂贵物品的决定,会展延至当0%消费税率生效后的六月。”

对于那些已经因为这个政策而宣布调低房产售价的发展商,他表示高度赞扬,并希望会有更多发展商加入这个行列。

他续称:“我们的消费税成本是2%至4%... 一些发展商宣布降价是好消息。长久累积下来的成本节省,应当转嫁给购房者,以期更多人买房。”

无论如何,他也警惕,短期内或有发展商会在消费税降至0%后,依然维持高赚幅以牟取暴利,因此,他呼吁有关单位严厉执法。

他也点出,消费税日后的去留,也有待观察。

“消费税是国会通过的政策。如果他们(政府)要废除消费税,就要得到国会的同意。是否会废除?我们静观其变。”
