KUALA LUMPUR: Sri Medan Duck Farm Sdn Bhd (SMDF), a wholly owned subsidiary of Emivest Bhd, acquired four pieces of freehold agricultural land totaling 18 acres in Johor from Ladang Ternakan Maju Sdn Bhd (LTM) for RM2.484 million, the Group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, June 29.

The sale includes structures on the land.

SMDF's primary activities are the breeding and production of commercial ducklings and broiler ducks. It was renting the said property from LTM and the Group believes the acquisition would further enhance the Group’s performance and be beneficial for the long-term.

Emivest is an investment holding company and its subsidiaries operate within the agriculture industry.
