KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway City Bhd (SunCity) has launched its latest mixed commercial development in the commercial enclave of Dataran Sunway in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, with a potential gross development value of RM500 million.

Developed by Sunway Damansara Sdn Bhd, the 5.83-acre leasehold Sunway Nexis is located next to the Sunway Giza mall and would comprise three-storey retail shops, a 13-storey office tower and a 20-storey “flexi office” block. It also has two levels of basement car park.

“Sunway Nexis follows the success of Sunway Giza mall as a neighbourhood lifestyle centre encompassing leisure, entertainment, recreation and work facilities right at your doorstep,” said SunCity managing director of property development, Malaysia, Ho Hon Sang in a statement.

Its 49 retail shop units have sizes ranging from 4,133-8,718 sq ft and priced from RM4 million onwards. Some 53% of the shops have already been sold. The 113 office suite units range from 925 to 1,722 sq ft and priced from RM700,000. The flexi office block will be launched in mid-2011 comprising 152 units with sizes ranging from 850 to 1,980 sq ft.

The retail area features a covered and linked central boulevard complemented by internal landscaping while the office suites overlook a green deck known as the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) Deck where occupants and visitors can enjoy a view of the Seri Selangor Golf Club and Kota Damansara forest reserve, said Ho.

“It has always been our priority to build a project that is environmentally sound and functional at the same time. Sunway Nexis has a variety of distinctively designed office suites in one of the most sought-after business and leisure destinations,” Ho said.

The development, adds Ho, also enjoys a strong population catchment from the established neighbouring townships.
