Most of the cases from this cluster are the factory workers in Meru, located in Klang. All positive cases were hospitalised and their close contacts were quarantined to prevent the spread of infections
The bulk of the new cases were found in Selangor, with a record 1,203 reported in the most populous state.
The affected employee, who had been absent from the office since last Thursday (Nov 19), is now being treated at an appointed government hospital.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Yusof : “It is for the survival of the people...by allowing social and economic activities (to resume) and at the same time we can fight the COVID-19 virus.”
The FT minister also added that the construction of the hostel facility with over 200 beds for the wholesale market workers was fully completed and set to be used from next month.
The minister said if these planned projects were stopped, contractors, engineers, lawyers and suppliers will not have jobs.
Previously exclusive only to Bukit Gasing residents, this initiative is now open to all those who are residing or working in Selangor.
