KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 4): The Ministry of Health today reported 10 new Covid-19 clusters, six of which were linked to workplaces and the other four involving the community.

This brings to 861 the number of clusters detected to date, of which 421 are active, and 440 have been declared ended, including one today.

The 10 new clusters, which contributed 262 cases in total, are:

● Jalan Industri Rawang cluster in Selangor (23 cases detected so far)

● Jalan Gombak cluster in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur (41)

● Jalan Jasmine cluster in Selangor (61)

● Parit Penyengat cluster in Johor (34)

● Jalan Pengiran cluster in Sarawak (20)

● Pemata Satu cluster in Negeri Sembilan (31)

● Kampung Lukut cluster in Johor (15)

● Jalan Jelutong cluster in Johor (7)

● Kampung Pulau Jawa cluster in Pahang (16)

● Rantau Tanjung cluster in Pahang (14)

The clusters that reported the highest number of new cases today were the Persiaran Perkilangan cluster with 362 new cases, followed by the Industri Serkam cluster (201) and the Jalan Perindustrian cluster (150).

Malaysia today registered a total of 4,571 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the cumulative figure for positive cases in the country to 231,483. Another 17 death cases were reported and the national death toll climbed to 826.
