Kerjaya Prospek secures RM258m job for residential development in Johor

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of award for RM258 million from Teguh Harian Build-Tech Sdn Bhd for the construction of main building works for a proposed residential development project in Johor Bahru.

Kerjaya said the project covers the construction of three blocks of apartment with common area and mechanical and electrical (M&E) facilities and a 12-storey podium carpark consisting of carpark and M&E facilities.

The construction works of the project are expected to commence on Nov 1, 2021 and will take 36 months to complete.

Kerjaya chief executive officer and executive director Tee Eng Tiong said due to the expertise and good reputation in building good quality high-rise building, the company won the first contract from Teguh Harian Build-Tech to build the apartments.

“We are committed to continue to focus in delivering projects that meet our clients’ expectation,” he said in a statement, today.

Tee said this is Kerjaya’s sixth contract win for this year bringing its year-to-date contract wins to RM907.6 million.

Kerjaya’s current outstanding order book stands at approximately RM3.6 billion which will provide the group with earning visibility for the next three years.

Moving forward, Tee said the company is confident of winning more contracts for the rest of the year and achieve internal order book replenishment target of RM1 billion for year 2021.
