Dijaya to unveil phase 2 of Tropicana Gardens

PETALING JAYA: Following the successful sales of the first phase of serviced apartments at Tropicana Gardens in Kota Damansara in mid October last year, Dijaya Corp Bhd will be launching more units in phase 2 on Sunday in a preview sale for those who registered their interest. A launch for the public will be held the following day.

“In light of the encouraging response shown by buyers, we will launch phase 2 which offers 413 units,” said Dijaya group MD Datuk Dickson Tan. The developer however, declined to disclose the prices and sizes of the units for launch.

The first phase of the Tropicana Gardens (Arnica Residences) was priced from RM480 psf, and offered six types of residential units ranging from 597 sq ft (studio) to 2,700 sq ft (penthouse). The units were sold out within two days of a special preview, raking in RM230 million in sales.
The listed developer said the remaining two phases will be launched soon after the approvals are obtained.

Tropicana Gardens has a gross development value of RM1.8 billion and occupies a total 17.6 acres (7.11ha) of leasehold land in Kota Damansara. When completed in 2016, the integrated development will offer a diverse component of serviced residences, shopping mall, hotel, offices and SoHos. The developer is now looking for anchor tenants for the commercial component of Tropicana Gardens.

Situated at Persiaran Surian, Tropicana Gardens is easily accessible via the New Klang Valley Expressway, Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong, Sprint Highway and Penchala Link. A proposed elevated mass rapid transit station has a direct link to the integrated development.

The group’s new projects that are in the planning stages include Tropicana Gardens in Tropicana Indah Resort Homes, Tropicana Metropark in Subang, Tropicana Heights in Kajang and W Kuala Lumpur Hotel and The Residences in Kuala Lumpur.

Dijaya has also expanded its presence to Iskandar Malaysia with Tropicana Danga Bay. In Penang, the group has a joint venture agreement with Ivory Properties Group Bhd to develop a mixed development project known as Penang World City in Bayan Mutiara.
