Eco Majestic

SEMENYIH (March 27): Eco World Group Bhd (EcoWorld) sold half of the furniture, home decoration items, and electronic and electrical appliances – valued at RM100,000 – used at some of its show units at its Eco Majestic sales gallery here in the first three hours of its Majestic Bazaar event here today.

According to Eco Majestic Sdn Bhd general manager Evon Yap, the Majestic Bazaar started today and will end next weekend, or when all items are sold.

All proceeds from the bazaar – one of the township's community activities – will go towards funding its community events. The developer is putting up more than a thousand home items from its Cradleton (2-storey terraced houses) and Tenderfields (2-storey cluster and semi-detached houses) show units for sale.

“This event is currently exclusively for our Cradleton and Tenderfields buyers. The total value of the items for sale is uncountable because some (items) were tailor made, some were imported while others are limited editions. However, their total value after discount is about RM200,000,” said Yap.

She said prices were cut by up to 90%, or from RM30. Eco Majestic also provided a wrapping counter and logistics arrangement (with charge).

“Unsold items may be reused in the new show units. Otherwise, they will be donated to charitable organisations,” Yap said.

However, this may be unlikely as half of the items were already sold within three hours after the event started at 10am today.

Yap also expects 500 buyers to show up today.

“We are trying to have more community activities as the community is one of our key considerations when we plan and build a project. We hope to see that our buyers get to know each other before they move into Eco Majestic,” Yap said.

On the township's progress, Mellowood Parkhomes Phase 1 (2-storey superlink houses) will be handed over to buyers at the end of this year.

Yap expects the first batch of residents to move in during the first quarter of next year.

As of today, Eco Majestic’s Merrydale 2-storey terrace houses, Mellowood Parkhomes and Karisma Apartment have achieved 85%, 70% and 90% take-ups respectively.
