Cendana Apartments, Rawang, M Residence, Mah Sing

PETALING JAYA (Oct 20): In an initiative to make home ownership more affordable for the lower income group, Mah Sing Group will be hosting an event for members of the public to register their interest in purchasing a unit of Cendana Apartments, a Rumah Selangorku project, at M Residence 2 @ Rawang.

Cendana Apartments comprises two blocks of 488 units of 850 sq ft and above. The 3-bedroom unit is priced at RM170,000 and comes with two parking bays.

“We are working towards supporting the national vision of ensuring that the poorest 40% of households are able to own their own homes, and have incorporated safety and environmentally friendly features and facilities in Cendana,” said Mah Sing CEO Ng Chai Yong.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2018 and will have amenities such as playground, surau and multipurpose hall.

“We believe that quality does not depend on price range; we want our customers to be proud of their homes,” added Ng.

The two-day event will be held this coming weekend, on October 24 and 25, at The Clubhouse @ M Residence, from 10am to 6pm.

To qualify for the scheme, applicants must be Malaysian citizens aged 18 years old and above, with a gross household income between RM3,001 and RM8,000 a month. Both husband and/or wife must not already own property in Selangor. The scheme is also open to singles with family obligations.

The property must not be rented out, and ownership can only be transferred after five years.

Interested parties are invited to bring the relevant documents for registration, including identity cards, children’s birth certificates, marriage registration certificate, divorce letter, death certificate, employer’s letter for single applicants, or from a Commissioner of Oaths for self-employed applicants, and water or electricity bills.
