KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Pacific Corporation Bhd (MPCorp) is tying up with LG Corp’s IT and media services unit to develop LakeHill Resort City and APTEC City's smart green city-related projects in Iskandar Malaysia.

MPCorp's subsidiary LakeHill Resort Development Sdn Bhd had on Thursday, Nov 18 entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LG CNS regarding the projects, MPCorp said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Friday.
Under the terms of the MoU, MPCorp and LG CNS will collaborate on the strategic planning of the smart green city as well as ICT-related designing, construction and maintenance of the project.
The collaboration will extend to these areas of the smart green city — residential areas, transportation, security, safety, environment, tour or entertainment, logistics, business, digital landmark, sourcing, distribution, sorting, supply chain, postal and financial services, e-education, wire and wireless network.
A detailed scope of work on the smart green city will be determined mutually at the time of contract, which is subject to approval by the board of directors of the group and LakeHill Resort Development, said MPCorp.
