KANGAR : Perlis aims to become a city-state by 2030 in line with its development aspirations encompassing positive elements of urban living for its people.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu launched a publicity campaign aimed at encouraging the public to give their feedback on the state's draft structure plan towards ensuring the success of its strategic development goals.

The public can view the draft document until May 10 at the State Urban and Rural Planning Department here.

The draft, among others, outlines five key projects with a view to turning Kuala Perlis into a port city, Padang Besar into a special economic zone while Kangar will be rebranded as "Kangar Maya".

Members of the public may also view the draft document at C-Mart Arau until April 15, Padang Besar Shopping Arcade from April 11 to 22, as well as at The Store in Kangar, until May 3.- Bernama
