Sime Darby’s Delmara 85% sold in two days

KUALA LUMPUR: Sine Darby Property's latest link homes at its Bandar Bukit Raja township development in Klang, Selangor continues to see good sales. Just two days after Sime Darby’s Delmara link homes in Bandar Bukit Raja opened for sale recently, 85% of its 54 units have been snapped up.

The response was reminiscent of the launch of the two-storey Avani homes in the same township which saw all its 194 units sold in just three days this past January, said the developer in on Friday, April 8.

The 2 ½-storey Delmara offers six unit types with built-ups ranging from 3,004 sq ft to 3,562 sq ft with prices starting from RM690,000.

It features lakeside views as well as a rainwater harvesting system. The latter, which was used for watering the gardens in existing phases, is extended to include usage in the bathroom for flushing purposes.

This system, which translates into savings for homeowners as they need not use water from the main supply, is part of the developer’s continuous effort to develop sustainable and environmentally conscious communities.

In maintaining the modern contemporary architectural theme of Bandar Bukit Raja, Delmara features passive design aspects such as cool roof that reflects the heat back into the atmosphere; full height windows for the living hall and master bedroom; and sleek concrete cantilevered hood and sill, all designed to maximise light and ventilation.

All bedrooms on the first floor come with en suite bathrooms, and supplementary sun-shading elements to reduce glare and temperature have been included in the design of all units facing the lake.

Sime Darby believed Delmara is an attractive buy not only for its design but for its capital appreciation. Homeowners have in some cases experienced a capital appreciation of some 30% since their purchase, said the developer.

Delmara is the township’s 13th phase since its launch in 2002. Almost all of the phases have been fully taken up. Since August 2010, Bandar Bukit Raja has seen five new residential phases added to its 1,638-acre development, of which 289 acres comprise residential properties. A projected population of 30,000 is expected in the entire township once it is fully completed in 2023.
