Sunway City appoints Ho as new MD

PETALING JAYA: Sunway City Bhd has appointed Ho Hon Sang (pictured) as its new Managing Director, Property Development, Malaysia, effective March 19, 2010.

He was the Chief Operating Officer, Property Development of Sunway City since 2005. He has so far spent 14 years in the property development industry.

Ho, 49, graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from Universiti Malaya in 1984 and has been a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia and Board of Engineers Malaysia since 1988 and 1989 respectively, said Sunway City in a statement on March 22.

“He started his professional career as an engineer with Esa Jurutera Perunding Sdn Bhd from 1984 and then went on to join United Engineers Group of Companies in the privatisation of the North South Expressway,” it added.

In 1995, he joined Sunway City as an Assistant General Manager and was later appointed the Unit Profit Centre Manager and a member of the Board of Directors of Sunway Damansara Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sunway City.

Meanwhile, former managing director of the division, Ngian Siew Siong, takes over as Sunway City’s managing director, Property Development, International.
